James is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, Company Secretary and Arbitrator & Mediator.

James holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree, Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and Master of Laws in Corporate Governance & Financial Regulation, Master of Laws in Women's Law and Human Rights.He is a Member of the Law Society of Kenya, Institute of Certified Secretaries and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
